    Three new cases of hepatitis A have been confirmed in Davidson County, according to the Metro Public Health Department. The new cases this week makes 26 the confirmed cases of hepatitis A since Davidson County. Four cases have been reported with inmates at the Davidson County Sheriff's Office correctional facilities and two cases have been confirmed among the homeless community.

Rite Aid to close in Ashland City following Walgreens acquisition

Walgreens plans to close about 600 Rite Aid stores where a Walgreens is located nearby. In Ashland City, Walgreens is located less than half a mile from the soon-to-close drugstore, at 315 S Main St.

Ashland City’s Rite Aid, at 655 S. Main St., isn’t the first in Middle Tennessee to end operations in connection to the Walgreens acquisition. In April, a Rite Aid in Mt. Juliet, which was also located in close proximity to a Walgreens location, closed its doors.
