Although many of us do enjoy tasty turkey for our Thanksgiving feasts, one particularly special bird won't be on the menu this year. Danny the Turkey received a pardon from Commissioner of Agriculture Jai Templeton at the Franklin Farmers Market this morning. Assistant Commissioner Ed Harlan joined Commissioner Templeton for the annual event. Danny is the pet of Sue and Adam Turtle of Earth Advocates Research Farm. He is a 5-year-old royal palm heritage bird and a wonderful ambassador for all feathered friends. Thanks to the Franklin Farmers Market for inviting us to participate. The hotel consulting and design firm is no stranger to Nashville real estate having paid $3 million for The Realtors Building at 306 Gay St. roughly 2 1/2 years ago.
