Gyro Cafe opens in Ashland City

The Gyro Cafe is open from 10 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. with dine-in and to-go options, including a drive-through, at the 309 N. Main St. location. Owners also run the Tobacco & Beer store on the other side of the building.

Gyro Cafe opens in Ashland City

Gyros, Greek salads, baklava, hummus and other platters and specialties have drawn customers to Ashland City's recently-opened Gyro Cafe over the past few weeks. The cafe opened March 10 after owners worked for about a year to prepare the space, and co-owner Amgad Endraws said that so far, customers seem to be happy with the outcome.

9 Cheatham store clerks cited for selling alcohol to minors in undercover operation

Clerks at nine stores in Cheatham County received citations for selling alcohol to minors. Cheatham County Sheriff's Office deputies and school resource officers oversaw an undercover operation conducted March 16. According to a Cheatham County Sheriff's Office Facebook post, Friday's was the fourth operation since Sheriff Mike Breedlove took office, and follow-ups and further operations "will continue until all businesses cease selling to underage youth."
