From Councilwoman Burkley Allen: Council member Sledge and I have made arrangements for a community meeting to talk about proposed traffic control options at the intersection of Granny White and Gale Lane. The Traffic and Parking Commission agreed to defer the vote on a proposed traffic light so that we could discuss other options. Please join us next Wednesday, November 29 at 6 pm at the Midtown Hills police precinct (1441 12th Ave S) to hear from Metro Public Works about the traffic data at the intersection and the options for making the intersection safer. Those could include the current 2 way stop, a 4 way stop, a traffic light, a roundabout, or other creative ideas we haven't come up with yet. We welcome your ideas and input.
