    Opera on the Mountain highlights arts, theater offerings in Nashville this weekend
    Nashville Opera and Vanderbilt's Dyer Observatory will host the annual "Opera on the Mountain" this weekend - a family-friendly evening of songs and stargazing. Soprano Dee Donasco, Mezzo-Soprano Camille Sherman and Bass-Baritone Brent Hetherington (who joins Nashville Opera's 2018-19 season as a Mary Ragland Emerging Artist) will perform a program of musical theatre and opera hits with Nashville Opera Chorus Master/Accompanist Amy Tate Williams. Be sure to arrive early to set up your picnic.

Presented in partnership with Metro Parks Cultural Arts Division, the production explores myths from many cultures, while drawing inspiration from familiar structures at Centennial Park, including the Rose Garden pergola, the Woman's Suffrage Monument and the Parthenon.
