In fact, even in this Derby, WinStar owned a piece of Audible and Noble Indy (trained by Todd Pletcher) and owns a horse named Quip, who is a candidate for the Belmont under the tutelage of Rodolphe Brisset. WinStar’s 2016 Belmont winner Creator was trained by Steven Asmussen.

Bob Baffert's latest Kentucky Derby win with Justify may be his greatest training feat
CLOSE LOUISVILLE - Around this time every spring, a new crop of 2-year-olds arrives at the Bob Baffert barn in Southern California. In a given year, there may be as many as 30 or 40, nearly all of them regally bred and many of them purchased at auctions in the high six- or seven-figure range by owners who dream of winning the Kentucky Derby.

Where: Belmont’s Black Box Theater, 1575 Compton Ave., in Nashville

Actors Bridge teams up with Belmont for gender-bending adventure 'Men on Boats'
Whether in history or in theatre, great adventure stories are generally reserved for men. Perhaps that's what makes Jaclyn Backhaus' offbeat comedy "Men on Boats" so intriguing. First premiering in 2015, "Men on Boats" reimagines the story of Captain John Wesley Powell and his 1869 expedition to chart the course of the Green and Colorado Rivers through the Grand Canyon.
