Lewis County woman charged with aggravated arson

The house fire happened at 300 Thomas Avenue in Hohenwald on May 10. Investigators determined the cause to be arson. Amanda Tripp, who lived at the home with her father and stepfather, was believed to be responsible.

Franklin police searching for suspect in October shooting death

Officers responded at 2 a.m. to 234 Chestnut Lane just off Liberty Pike, after receiving a call from that location that someone had been shot.

The fire was reported about 9:05 a.m. at 125 Lafayette Street at Big G's Deli, a Metro Nashville dispatcher said.

Music City Center board approves $5.15 million SoBro land purchase

On Thursday, Metro's Convention Center Authority voted to move forward with the purchase at that price, which equates to $150 a square foot. Initial plans calls for using the site at 424 Lafayette St., across from the Greyhound Bus Terminal, as a marshalling yard and for additional parking.

In the future, the property fronting Lafayette Street, Elm Street and Fifth Avenue South could potentially serve Metro's needs as the city explores various transit options.
