CASE 2017-430: Brian Carter, appellant and Woody Welch, owner of the property located at 414 Woodycrest Avenue, requesting a setback variance from fence requirements in the IR District, to construct a masonry wall along the front of property line.

CASE 2018-047: Grover Collins, appellant and Victoria Fields, owner of the property located at 2225 10th Avenue S, Units 201, 202, 203 and 207, requesting an Item A appeal of the cancellation of four short term rental permits based on SP zoning district restrictions.

CASE 2018-104: Bob Bernstein, appellant and owner of the property located at 952 Clayton Avenue, requesting a variance from sidewalk requirements in the R10 District, to construct an addition and convert the detached garage into a second single family residence.

CASE 2018-116: Ryan Snellen, appellant and owner of the property located at 924 Archer Street, requesting Item A appeal, challenging the zoning administrator's denial of a short term rental permit. Applicant operated prior to obtaining the legally required permit.

CASE 2018-124: Paul Chinetti, appellant and owner of the property located at 1255 1st Avenue South, requesting an Item A appeal, challenging the zoning administrator's denial of a short term rental permit.

CASE 2018-137: Richard Fewell, appellant and owner of the property located at 1419 Edgehill Road, requesting Item A appeal, challenging the zoning administrator's denial of a short term rental permit. Applicant operated prior to obtaining the legally required permit.

Juveniles charged in downtown Nashville BB gun shootings

The 11-year-old suspect on Friday night had been arrested and charged in connection with a robbery that evening. Police say he and a 13-year-old robbed a 49-year-old woman while she was driving downtown near Academy Place and Lindsley Avenue.

Man arrested for killing cat because it wouldn’t stop meowing

Police responded to the 400 block of Oak Court and discovered that the suspect, Yifan Du, had been “disturbed by the cat’s meowing” early that morning.
