Whitsitt Elementary School at 110 Whitsett Road. Meals are served from 1 to 2 p.m., with the site open to families through July 1

Antioch Middle School at 5050 Blue Hole Road. The free-lunch site opens June 11 and ends on July 6.

    Summer has arrived for Metro Nashville Public Schools students, but district officials want you to know there are still plenty of programs and camps for your children. The district has a website to help you navigate the more than 75 Nashville schools camps and 100 community camps offered throughout the city.

    Metro Schools announce Summer Meals program locations
    Students might be out of school for the summer, but Metro Schools is still working to take care of the kids. The school system is offering free meals to anyone under 18. You don't have to be a student of Metro Schools to qualify.

    Construction broke ground this week on a $40 million mixed-income apartment building with attached shops, eateries and potentially a much-needed grocery store in a neighborhood near Midtown that developers have dubbed City Heights. The Connect at City Heights will sit on a 2.5-acre parcel at the corner of 25th and Clifton avenues.
