13 cool places to get wet for free this summer in Middle Tennessee
Summertime in Middle Tennessee can be sweltering, oppressive, even bordering on brutal! But it doesn't mean you have to stay indoors all season with the AC blowing full blast. I say you should indulge in a summer cool down with some free water fun - and there are a lot of opportunities, including one very popular option in White House for Robertson and Sumner County residents.

Allow me to reveal something that may render you speechless: I do not love summer. Every year I ready myself with pep-talks and a mini fan for the inevitable sweat bath as Nashville's humidity covers me like a wet blanket. Mercifully, the middle TN area is packed with pools, water parks, and splash pads galore!

CLOSE Winds and drifting snow swept across the Antarctica runway as the Boeing 757 approached. The passengers aboard couldn't help but hold their breath. When the plane landed safely on a strip of blue ice, they exhaled collectively. But their lungs wouldn't get much time to relax.
