    A very prolific writer, Lisa Wingate chose to write her 30th novel, "Before We Were Yours," based on the true-to-life story of Georgia Tann, a Tennessee social worker who ran a lucrative adoption ring, often supplied with stolen babies, in the 1920s-1940s in Memphis.
