At Traffic and Parking Commission on Mon., Nov. 13th at 3 p.m. at the Howard Office Building (700 2nd Ave S), I'll be requesting a traffic light at 16th Ave S and Horton Ave, I'm deferring the request for Gale and 12th Ave S while CM Burkley Allen and I schedule a community meeting.

Proper Saké brewery to open in SoBro next week

The grand opening will take place on Oct. 28 from 12 to 9 p.m., at 628 Ewing Ave. The brewery's tasting room will feature three sakés served at Husk Nashville, Bastion and Otaku Ramen.

Tennessee’s First Saké Brewery and Tasting Room Opens in Nashville Later This Month

Located at 628 Ewing Ave., the brewery is the passion project of owner Byron Stithem, who previously spent time working at Husk Nashville and Clover Club cocktail bar in Brooklyn, as well as with the now defunct Dinner Lab before branching out into the saké business.

Music City Center board approves $5.15 million SoBro land purchase

In the future, the property fronting Lafayette Street, Elm Street and Fifth Avenue South could potentially serve Metro's needs as the city explores various transit options.

On Thursday, Metro's Convention Center Authority voted to move forward with the purchase at that price, which equates to $150 a square foot. Initial plans calls for using the site at 424 Lafayette St., across from the Greyhound Bus Terminal, as a marshalling yard and for additional parking.

    CLOSE Béla Fleck and Abigail Washburn typically play theaters and performing arts centers. But they're going to do things a little differently in Nashville next week. On Tuesday, the Grammy-winning banjo duo will launch their three-night "Circle Round Home" residency in which they'll play the Basement, the Family Wash and 3rd and Lindsley - far more intimate venues than the ones they do on tour.
