  • Waverly-Belmont Elementary School reviewed by a parent

I have had four kids in public and private schools in multiple cities. The level of classroom instruction and differentiation for kids of varying ability levels is better at W-B than anywhere I have every been. Additionally, it is one of the only genuinely diverse schools - in race, income, disabilities. My child is currently scoring at the very top of national assessments - and has friends from a wide range of backgrounds. I couldn't be happier. (PS no ratings on the school because it is two years old and just had its first round of testing ever).

My kids have been to a number of schools from Ashland, Oregon to Los Angeles to Nashville, and I can honestly say that Waverly Belmont is the BEST. The teachers are superb and my son has learned so much, he has wonderful friends, there is a culture of kindness and joy that radiates from the staff, the building is beautifully renovated, and I just couldn't be happier. The students are diverse and there is such harmony. At the recent Student Council Election, my son ran for VP. There were 18 students running for President and 12 running for VP. The speeches made me marvel at the great things these kids will do for your future in America. Thank you to the people who make Waverly Belmont possible. It takes a village... P.S. - I'm a real estate agent and I'm going to do a blog post about great schools in Nashville. Find me at EverybodyLovesNashville (dot) com
