Written by Alex Timbers, with music/lyrics by Michael Friedman, this exhilarating and thought-provoking musical takes an irreverent look at the nation's seventh president - from his early days on the frontier to his controversial reign in the White House - complete with punk-tinged anthems and an irresistible in-your-face attitude.

CLOSE "Fun Home" is certainly not the first Broadway musical to take on themes of family dysfunction or coming-of-age trauma. But it may well be one of the very best.
