Kick off weekend with 'Freaky Friday: The Musical'

The evening begins at 7 p.m. Saturday at Emma Bistro, 9 Lea Ave., in Nashville. Tickets are $30-$50, available at streettheatrecompany.org.

The show runs through Feb. 4.  The gallery is at 919 Gallatin Ave.  It is open daily, but please call ahead to 615-236-6575.  Admission is free.  

The lecture begins at 6 p.m. and a reception will follow.  Admission is free but reservations are requested to 615-862-8431.  The Parthenon is at 2500 West End Ave.

The show runs through Feb. 24.  Elephant Gallery is at 1411 Buchanan St.  Hours are 2-6 p.m. Friday, noon-6 p.m. Saturday and by appointment.  Admission is free.

Based on the 1972 book and popular film adaptations, "Freaky Friday" centers on an overworked mom and teenage daughter who gain a new appreciation for one another when they magically swap bodies.

Nashville Ballet presents Light/The Holocaust & Humanity Project to explore the protection of human rights against bigotry and hate through arts, education and public dialogue. Join the conversation as Mitchell Korn, Vanderbilt University Blair School of Music senior lecturer, leads a thoughtful examination of Light before Nashville Ballet debuts it on stage from Ballet Austin Artistic Director Stephen Mills. This four-part series will feature engaging discussions with Mills, Nashville Ballet Artistic Director & CEO Paul Vasterling, Nashville Ballet Company Dancer Julia Eisen and more.
