The Halal Guys Slate Opening Party at One Bellevue Place

Starting from just a simple hot dog cart in New York City, The Halal Guys now have more than 200 locations open or under development worldwide. They already have a second Nashville location planned for later this summer in Sylvan Park, at 4109 Charlotte Ave.

    New York-based chain The Halal Guys has quietly been preparing to officially open up their first Nashville outpost of their popular Middle Eastern and Mediterranean cuisine chain on Saturday, April 14 ,with a celebration planned for 11 a.m. until 7 p.m. at the new One Bellevue Place development at 7816 Highway 70 S., Suite 101.

Dancing stars bring 'Confidential' to TPAC stage

It runs March 23-31 at the Darkhorse Theater, 4610 Charlotte Ave., Nashville. Performances are at 7:30 p.m., Thursdays-Saturdays; 3 p.m. Sundays. Tickets are $12 at darkhorsetheater.com or $16 at the door.

The show runs through December 2018.  21c Museum Hotel Nashville is at 221 Second Ave N.  It is open 24 hours, seven days a week. There are guided docent tours through the museum 5-6 p.m.every Wednesday. Admission is free.

    In its latest exhibition, Fisk University's Carl Van Vechten Gallery commemorates the 100th anniversary of America's entry into WWI and highlights its role in The Great Migration. To escape harsh segregationist laws and inequitable economic opportunity, millions of African-Americans relocated from the rural south to the urban centers of the North, Midwest, and West between 1916-1970.
