CLOSE Growing up, Fisk University President Kevin Rome wanted to be what he saw on television - a lawyer or a judge. "But I didn't really realize what a lawyer did," Rome said. Rome grew up in Columbus, Georgia in a single parent family. He was the first in his family to attend college.

    Transit/Affordability Taskforce - 2 Months Later
March 4, 2018 Transit is about more than trains and buses. It is also about how high-capacity transit corridors will interact with neighbors, residents, and existing small businesses. Last fall, the Mayor appointed a Transit & Affordability Taskforce to address these issues. The taskforce's final report and recommendations came out on January 10, 2018.
