Nashville’s First Tiki Bar Shows Off Progress

Also keep an eye out on the building at 521 Gallatin Ave. for signs of Chopper coming to life. Fingers crossed for tiki drinks before summer.

    Nashville is steps closer to having its first tiki bar Chopper. Barista Parlor owner and founder Andy Mumma, Isle of Printing founder Bryce McCloud, and former longtime Husk Nashville bar manager Mike Wolf prepare to open up shop in the former east side homes of Bar Luca and Moto Moda, and they have progress photos on Facebook to prove it.

Blue Moves dance company explores 'Myths' at Centennial Park

The show is up through June 3.  Red Arrow Gallery is at 919 Gallatin Ave #4.  Its hours are 11 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday, but is open daily by appointment.  Admission is free.

    Blue Moves Modern Dance Company is back this weekend with a unique multimedia performance titled "Myths: Connecting Universal Experiences." Presented in partnership with Metro Parks Cultural Arts Division, the production explores myths from many cultures, while drawing inspiration from familiar structures at Centennial Park, including the Rose Garden pergola, the Woman's Suffrage Monument and the Parthenon.
