Actors Bridge Ensemble opened its 11th annual collaboration with Belmont University last weekend with the Nashville premiere of Jaclyn Backhaus' "Men on Boats." Where: Belmont’s Black Box Theater, 1575 Compton Ave., in Nashville

Actors Bridge teams up with Belmont for gender-bending adventure 'Men on Boats'
Whether in history or in theatre, great adventure stories are generally reserved for men. Perhaps that's what makes Jaclyn Backhaus' offbeat comedy "Men on Boats" so intriguing. First premiering in 2015, "Men on Boats" reimagines the story of Captain John Wesley Powell and his 1869 expedition to chart the course of the Green and Colorado Rivers through the Grand Canyon.
