Review: 'The Flick,' onstage at Verge Theater next week, is offbeat yet profound
At first glance, Annie Baker's "The Flick" might seem to be a simple love letter to those wonderful old movie houses of days gone by (dinosaurs in this digital age) and the quirky characters who populate them. And it's true.

Theater review: Pipeline-Collective explores human connection with 'World Builders'
You may think you've seen plenty of twists on the traditional "boy-meets-girl" story. But you'd be hard-pressed to find one more original (or vibrant) than Johnna Adams' "World Builders," now on stage at Pipeline-Collective.

Bob Baffert's latest Kentucky Derby win with Justify may be his greatest training feat

In fact, even in this Derby, WinStar owned a piece of Audible and Noble Indy (trained by Todd Pletcher) and owns a horse named Quip, who is a candidate for the Belmont under the tutelage of Rodolphe Brisset. WinStar’s 2016 Belmont winner Creator was trained by Steven Asmussen.

Bob Baffert's latest Kentucky Derby win with Justify may be his greatest training feat
CLOSE LOUISVILLE - Around this time every spring, a new crop of 2-year-olds arrives at the Bob Baffert barn in Southern California. In a given year, there may be as many as 30 or 40, nearly all of them regally bred and many of them purchased at auctions in the high six- or seven-figure range by owners who dream of winning the Kentucky Derby.
