Local brewery and Hillsboro Village merchants...

Local brewery and Hillsboro Village merchants team up to save our dragon! Local craft brewery Honky Tonk Brewing Co. and Hillsboro Village merchants are teaming up to raise funds for Nashville's beloved dragon in Fannie Mae Dees Park (aka: Dragon Park). From now until May 1, for every can of Honky Tonk's West Coast IPA that you purchase from participating merchants, $1 will go to restore the dragon. (Drafts not included.) Plus, Honky Tonk Brewing Co. will donate 10% of total case sales to the cause. That's a cool double-win for the dragon! Why Honky Tonk's West Coast IPA in a can? Its colorful dragon label is a natural reminder that Nashville's unique mosaic dragon sculpture — an iconic local landmark — is sadly closed and needs our help. Not to mention, it's one great beer. Dry hopped for big flavor, West Coast IPA is powerfully refreshing with a smooth, dry, citrusy taste. Next time you venture into any of the Hillsboro Village establishments listed below, be sure to ask for Honky Tonk's West Coast IPA — in the dragon-labeled can — and drink the dragon to save the dragon! This fundraiser is brought to you by Honky Tonk Brewing Co., Hillsboro Village merchants, and Hillsboro West End Neighborhood Association to benefit the Save Our Dragon campaign. Please donate by visiting GoFundMe.com/SaveOurDragon. Your participating Hillsboro Village merchants: Lead Merchants: • Kay Bob's Grill and Ale • Pizza Perfect Other participating merchants: • Belcourt Theater • Cabana • Double Dogs • Fido • H-Cues Upstairs Poolroom • Hopdoddy Burger Bar • Jackson's Bar and Bistro • McDougal's Chicken Fingers and Wings • Sportsman's Grille • Village Wine & Spirits - buy by the six pack! • The Villager Tavern About Honky Tonk Brewing Co. Founded in 2014 by owner and master brewer Scott Swygert, Honky Tonk Brewing Co. was named for its hometown connection and as a reminder to not take itself too seriously. The brewing facility and tap room are located in Metro Center at 240-B Cumberland Bend. Honky Tonk’s line of craft beers includes American wheat, amber ale, hoppy West Coast IPA and other regular and seasonal recipes available on tap and in cans in restaurants, bars and venues throughout Davidson County. For more information: www.honkytonkbeer.com About Nashville's Dragon Nashville's dragon sculpture was commissioned by Metro Parks and installed in 1981 as the centerpiece of a new park in Hillsboro Village. It was the result of a community project led by renowned national artist, the late Pedro Silva, and involved hundreds of volunteers of all ages coming together to create the colorful mosaic facade. The dragon has been fenced off and closed for much needed repairs since May 2016. Now let's come together again and Save Our Dragon. For more information: www.gofundme.com/SaveOurDragon About Hillsboro West End Neighborhood Association HWEN, a 501-c3 nonprofit organization, was founded in 1975 to build community, preserve historic character and promote engagement. 1907 Broadway, Nashville

10 questions with Urban Cookhouse founder Andrea Snyder
Urban Cookhouse 1907 Broadway, Nashville www.urbancookhouse.com 615-953-6449 Husband and wife Andrea and David Snyder knew from the moment they decided to create a restaurant concept, they wanted to bank off the informal-yet-invaluable training they received in their mothers' and grandmothers' kitchens. They learned early on that fresh food has more taste and that sometimes simple is better.
