NOV 30 & DEC 6: Community meetings for Distri...

NOV 30 & DEC 6: Community meetings for District 34 residents and west Nashvillians to learn more about the mayor's proposed transit plan. Thursday, Nov. 30 at BELLEVUE Middle School, 655 Colice Jeanne Road and Wednesday, Dec. 6 at the WEST POLICE PRECINCT, 550 Charlotte Pike. Both are 5:30 - 7:30 PM with an open-house format, so stop by anytime to ask questions of the mayor's staff. If you are unable to attend and have questions, concerns, ideas that you would like me to share, please comment here, or contact me at angie.henderson@nashville.gov. A reminder that the Council will not be voting on the plan itself but rather on whether to put the plan on the ballot for a referendum in May 2018. That said, I and fellow Council members are researching and thinking critically about the plan and the financial model to support it, so that hopefully what the mayor chooses to finally put on the ballot will be something that best serves Nashville now and in the future and that the community is willing to support.
