Updates and Events/Meetings for May 18-26

The effort to obtain a four-way stop at Martin St. and Merritt Ave was successful! The stop signs should be installed within the next few weeks. Thank you to everyone who wrote in support and/or attended the Traffic and Parking Commission meeting!

South Nashville Action People will meet at the SNAP Center (1224 Martin St.) at 6 p.m.

    Remember that early voting for the mayor's race runs through Saturday at all early voting sites, with Election Day on Thursday, May 24. I am supporting Mayor David Briley in this race, as I believe his steady leadership will help bring needed stability to Metro at a critical time.

Our next District 17 Second Saturday meeting is tomorrow, Saturday, May 12 at 8:30 a.m. in the President's Dining Hall in the Jernigan Student Center at Trevecca Nazarene University, 333 Murfreesboro Pike.

CASE 2017-430: Brian Carter, appellant and Woody Welch, owner of the property located at 414 Woodycrest Avenue, requesting a setback variance from fence requirements in the IR District, to construct a masonry wall along the front of property line.

CASE 2018-047: Grover Collins, appellant and Victoria Fields, owner of the property located at 2225 10th Avenue S, Units 201, 202, 203 and 207, requesting an Item A appeal of the cancellation of four short term rental permits based on SP zoning district restrictions.
