'The Immortalists' embraces mysteries of mortality
In her second novel, "The Immortalists," Chloe Benjamin chose to write about how we cope with the uncertainties inherent in human life. Her characters seek out different belief systems - religion, magic or science. Benjamin takes us down different paths, all dealing with the tension between knowledge and uncertainty, and how we cope with not knowing what will happen in our lives.

Campbell's exhibit will be at Bennett Galleries (2104 Crestmoor Road) from Friday, Jan. 12, to Sunday, Jan. 14. He'll have Beatles pieces available for sale, along with works stemming from the rest of his 50-year career, which includes "Scooby Doo, Where Are You?" "The Smurfs" and "Rugrats."

'Beatles' cartoon director will hold art show in Nashville
At the height of Beatlemania, The Beatles weren't just the biggest act in the world - they were the biggest stars on Saturday morning television. "The Beatles" cartoon series aired on ABC from 1965 to 1969. Though it featured the band's music and likenesses, the real Beatles had nothing to do with the show.
