School review Sylvan Park Paideia Design Center (4801 Utah Avenue)
Sylvan Park Paideia Design Center (4801 Utah Avenue) Comment
My son entered Sylvan Park in the 4th grade. He had been at a Montessori school all the years prior. The transition went better than we ever expected. He soared this year. Not only did he qualify for Encore, he tested so high that we could've created a custom curriculum for him. The teachers CARE about the students. I never thought I'd send my kids to public school, but we are so fortunate to live in a place where you can opt in to schools you aren't zoned for, which makes a huge difference in quality and options. The well-being, education, and SAFETY of the students is priority. If there is any downside, it's that they OVER-communicate. I have never been so well-informed ;) Sylvan Park is one of the few that has access to the official Disney Musicals and Plays, so it's awesome to see them get involved in that. My son has made great friends, and looks forward to moving on to middle school with them. We love Ms. Pollard, Ms. Williams, and the music and art specials teachers!
Sylvan Park Elementary typically has two crossing guards, with one based right in front of the school, and the other two blocks away at the much busier intersection of 46th Avenue North and Utah Avenue.
